Merry Christmas!

It has been a LOOOONG time since I have blogged! We are now back in Oklahoma! We are so glad to be home and enjoying our homestead! We lost Sierra in November when we returned back to OK, but we are all adjusting as good as we can. RIP C-Bass. Blaze still keeps us entertained and is Abby's best friend! :) He does really well with her. Abby and I flew to Colorado to stay with Amanda and Scott a few weeks ago. Grammie went with us and we got to see Amanda graduate with her Master's! It was wonderful to be able to go visit them! We had a busy holiday season and got to see most of the family! Logan & Michael flew in from London to surprise us all and we had a great time catching up. Abby got a lot of fun presents, some that I want myself! ;) Everything is wonderful our way and we hope you had a peaceful holiday with a lot of family and friends! Happy New Year! Love, the Schmitz Fam! Jason, Amy & Abby

Happy Halloween!

We had a pretty low key Halloween because I was in urgent care getting an IV the day before due to dehydration. (From some nasty little bug I got)! We went to about 5 houses around our neighborhood, so the neighbors could see Chicken Little. Once we got home, Chicken Little must have caught my bug so we pulled another all nighter. Here are a few pictures while everyone was feeling decent. Luckily Jason has somehow avoided this horrible bug, even after sharing the Halloween teeth sucker with Abby before Trick or Treating.

Camo Abby

Grandma Debbie bought Abby this camo fleece over 6 months ago and it fits great, just in time for hunting season. Jason got a new bow, as he hopes he will be able to hunt a little longer during the year this way. Here is Abby posing for a picture just for her dad.

The Face that has been around my house....

Unfortunately, the past week has been a little difficult for Abby...and the entire household, as well as the neighborbood. She cut her 1st tooth on her birthday and well...now they are all coming in at once. She has one bottom and one top right now. Looks like there are about 5 more on top and 3 more on bottom that are just getting ready to come thru. No telling how long it will take :(! On top of that, she got a cold and so was very unhappy for a couple days. It felt like I had a newborn all over again.
It's amazing though, her screams didn't seem to interrupt any of Jason's snoring...ha! She is back on schedule and has slept through the night the past 2 nights. Yay! Here is a picture of the poor little baby at one of her "upset" times. I just got a new camera and for some reason I thought she might want to look back on her "teething" stage (ya right)!

Park at Taughannock Falls

Today we went to swim at Cayuga Lake with our friends Katie, Erin and Sarah. We took a dip in the crystal clear lake, played at the park and had a little picnic. It was a lot of fun.

Weekend in NYC

This weekend we went to the US Open to watch Jason's cousins play tennis. It was a lot of fun and Abby even had a blast! Jason and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on the 31st and we had a fabulous dinner in NYC. (minus the screaming child at our table...ha!)

Trip to Buttermilk Falls

A couple weeks ago Abby and I took a hike at Buttermilk Falls. It is absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to go again sometime with Jason. There were a lot of families out hiking and cooling off in various parts of the stream. It was a workout that is for sure!
